One of the fastest ways to earn extra money is to sell things you no longer use. There are many apps that allow you to sell everything from electronics to clothing, books, and even unused gift cards. Here are the most popular ones:
Poshmark: Poshmark allows users to list their items on the website. Once you’ve signed up for an account, take a photo of the item you want to sell, enter a description, and set a price. The app even lets you host a party so your friends can list similar items together.
Poshmark offers free box and postage! It allows you to list items for free but charges a $2.95 fee for items under $15 and a 20% fee for items over $15.
OfferUp: If you spend time decluttering or cleaning out your garage, you could earn some money while you’re at it. OfferUp is like an online shopping store. OfferUp works a little like Craigslist, with a more modern platform and app capabilities.
The app is free to use and you can negotiate prices if you want to remove something. You’re limited to selling locally and can’t be paid through the app, so you’ll have to make payment arrangements with the buyer (usually cash or Venmo).
Decluttr: Decluttr lets you sell media items like DVDs, CDs, books, electronics, and toys. Decluttr also accepts phones. The Decluttr app is very useful because you can use it to scan the barcode of the items you want to sell and they will give you an instant price.
Once you get your estimate, simply request a kit, and mail your items. Once they find and review your items, they pay. They guarantee their original price (within 30 days) or they will return your item.
Amazon: Although you won’t earn real cash, Amazon accepts thousands of eligible products for trade-in. Earn Amazon gift cards by trading in items like books, old cell phones, video games, Amazon products (Kindle, Echo, etc.) and more.
