It’s an improved version of what I saw MN refugee communities doing back in the ’90s: actively working through grifts with grant money, government grants and tax breaks.
They are very careful how they write about this because the words are insulting to the communities involved. If you read to the end you will see Somali names. Too many corners cut and outright stealing.
I have worked with these communities, I consider myself a collaborator but I am very concerned to see how MN NGOs work, inviting people to steal. I have already mentioned that there are private organizations that work to help small people establish NGOs.
