Those exposed were company names, LDAP usernames, email addresses, and the version number of the company’s Purity software but no “compromising information such as array access passwords, or any data stored on customer systems,” the statement said.
The company said it is monitoring its infrastructure for unusual activity and has seen no evidence of another attack on it or many of its customers. It did not reveal the security weaknesses that caused the breach.
It opens a cyberattack
Several problems revealed by the events related to Snowflake will be of concern to experts: the length of time in which some of its features appear to have occurred, the scale of any subsequent data breach, and the fundamental security weaknesses that made it possible.
