Oregon voters will likely decide in November whether to enact a landmark revenue plan that would give all state residents about $750 annually in increased business taxes.

Supporters of the idea say they may have enough signatures to put it on the ballot this fall, and opponents are taking it seriously…

“It looks really good. It’s really exciting,” said Anna Martinez, a Portland hairdresser who helped found the group behind the campaign, Oregon People’s Rebate, in 2020. If approved by voters, the plan would go into effect in January 2025.
