Christopher Kirchhoff is an emerging technology expert who founded the Pentagon’s Silicon Valley office and has led the teams of the President, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the CEO of Google. He recently worked on special projects for Anthropic. Previously, Dr. Kirchhoff helped design and scale $1 billion in philanthropic initiatives at Schmidt Futures. He also founded and led the Pentagon’s Silicon Valley Office, Defense Innovation Unit X, which tested flying vehicles and small satellites for military operations and created a new approach to startups that are now responsible for $70 billion in technology. During the Obama administration, he was Director of Strategic Planning at the National Security Council and senior civilian advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
