Are the vibes back?

post, explaining why the vibes seem reversed!

I don’t think the vibes have changed back at all, and here is my previous post. To quote one important point, MZ referred to Trump as a “bad ass,” and still hasn’t created anything close to scandalous. This new world will always exist, and this kind of tolerance will probably be extended further.

Part of ongoing the change in vibes is that now the Democrats are trying to win with the “brat” and “vibes only” strategy, and no real policy positions. That is a sign that they too are realizing that the vibes have changed. So far Harris has resisted a lot of pressure from the Left. And Walz’s Congressional voting record was to the right of 70% of Democrats. His latest big talk often felt like Frank Capra. I also predict that his extreme actions as Governor will be understated, to say the least.

Noah has an excellent post on the new vibes of the Democrats, and I agree with his main points. Note that Cori Bush has just become the second member of the Senate to be expelled from the Democratic Alliance.

It is never about who will win the election, as most economic theories predict that this should be closer to 50-50. Instead, opinions have shifted, voters (most of them) are tired of left-wing positions, and of course fed up with a lot of right-wing positions (note that Vance is unpopular and Trump rejects the 2025 agenda).

Once you realize that none of this is about “which team wins,” it’s clear that the shift in vibe is ongoing, irreversible.
