The results show that from 2003 to 2022, the average time spent at home among American adults increased by one hour and 39 minutes on an average day. Home time has increased for all demographics and for all occupations. Preliminary analysis shows that time spent at home is associated with lower levels of happiness and less meaning, suggesting the need for increased attention to this major change in the American lifestyle.
