Ireland is ranked as the loneliest country in Europe, with almost a fifth of people lonely a lot or all the time and almost two thirds of people suffering from anxiety or depression, according to EU data. One in seven children live in households below the poverty line, defined as 60 percent of the family’s disposable income.
