What if the LLM reads everything I write, listens to all my podcast appearances, and maybe even some of my private or confidential conversations, and then places hundreds of small bets for me, and reviews them as my thinking came to light? What if LLMs did this for everyone who cares about AI, or any other topic? The amount I will gain or lose does not need to be large. If the bet were small, it would be a small income, similar to what many artists receive from live streaming services, or what many middle-X accounts receive from money sharing. That way, any loss wouldn’t be the end of the world for most people. The real value would be the knowledge that the community can build.
What if the debate about the trajectory of AI capabilities, for example, was also active in the 1000s of the prediction markets, traded heavily on small bets made on behalf of millions?
And what if other LLMs also explored the broader media space and placed their own bets? If you think of my writing and thinking (or yours) as a kind of intellectual hedge fund for one person, these last groups can be something like mutual funds.
What if we could model the financial markets for every question about the future that concerns us? And what if it costs next to nothing? What if, after the work of erecting it is finished, all this just goes on each day, in a way that few people had to devote much time to caring for it or thinking about it?
