Main Street Agenda town hall meeting in Milwaukee: Inflation

A Main Street Agenda town hall meeting on inflation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 6 to 8 pm at the Clinton Rose Senior Center, 3045 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Register here.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

During the presidential debate, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump made addressing inflation an important part of their presidential campaigns.

In a state as volatile as Wisconsin – where its largest city, Milwaukee, has the highest poverty rate in the country – the person who can clearly articulate his plan to deal with inflation could win the state and become the next president of the United States.

Panelists include inflation experts, Milwaukee community activists:

  • Dynasty Caesar, Editor-in-Chief of the Milwaukee Repair Association.
  • Menzie Chinn, Professor in the La Follette School of Public Affairs and Department of Economics at UW-Madison. His research examines economic development within and between countries.
  • J. Michael Collins, Professor in the La Follette School of Public Affairs and the School of Human Environment at UW-Madison. You learn how to make consumer decisions, including credit, savings, and investments.
  • Melody McCurtis, Deputy Director and Lead Organizer of Metcalfe Park Community Bridges, a resident-led organization in the Metcalfe Park neighborhood on Milwaukee’s Northside.

Register for the event here.
