A man used improvised explosive devices, some of which he dropped on airplanes, to attack or threaten a local political dispute in a northern Maine community, law enforcement officials said. No one was injured.
Joshua Brydon, 37, of Woodland, appeared in court this week after authorities say he set off fireworks near multiple homes using firecrackers, propane bottles and other materials, according to court documents. Some of the explosions were powerful enough to knock objects off the wall of the house, and most of the explosives were dropped by drones used by Brydon, according to the documents.
Court records show Brydon targeted people who had feuds with the former Woodland Select Board member or his father-in-law, the town’s road commissioner.
