My Russian classical music podcast with Rick Rubin

You will find it here. Rick asked me to give him my account of Russian classical music, “standing on one foot” as you might say. With music clips again, played on Rick’s sound system. So we started with Rimsky and Mussorgsky, and European and folk/peasant musical traditions as distinct influences on Russian music. Then there is plenty of Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, and Stravinsky followinig, perhaps with Stravinsky as a prelude.

It is not easy to do such things in one’s head. Still recommended.
