Security outsourcing is on the rise as CISOs seek freedom from the Internet

The Foundry’s 2024 Security Priorities Study provides a list of the top IT security tasks CISOs are outsourcing to managed service providers in the next 12 months, with threat detection and response (24%), security awareness training (23%), and security tasks (23%) ) leading, followed by threat intelligence (22%), vulnerability assessment (22%), and backup and recovery (22%).

In this study, 82% of those surveyed said they would outsource security tasks to security service providers or another third party in the next 12 months.
