“Unfortunately, healthcare systems are also exposed to cybersecurity incidents and threats. That is why we are launching an action plan to ensure that healthcare systems, facilities and connected medical devices are sustainable,” he said. “Prevention is better than cure, so we must prevent cyber attacks from happening. But if it does happen, we have to have everything we’ve got to find it and be able to respond quickly and recover. “
One of the proposals is for the EU cybersecurity agency to establish a support center where hospitals and other healthcare providers can get guidance, tools, services, and training.
