Seleznev called the US about 170 million dollars
Seleznev, known by his hacking name Track2, is the son of a famous Russian lawyer, Valery Seleznev, and was arrested in July 2014 in the Maldives, then extradited to the US, for his involvement in cyber-criminal activities.
The charges Seleznev was convicted of include hacking and data theft, credit card fraud, identity theft and fraud. His biggest crime was hacking into commercial computers to steal credit card numbers and sell them on black market websites.
The 40-year-old hacker was now stealing, as authorities found more than 1.7 million credit cards from more than 500 US businesses on his laptop and sent the data to servers he controlled in Russia, Ukraine, and McLean, Virginia.
