Adjusting for inflation, President Biden is one of the lowest paid Presidents in American history. See the initial and final statistics in this 2012 analysis.
This source’s figures are all in 2012 dollars, and there has been a cumulative inflation of 39% since then, while the President’s salary has remained at $400,000/year (typical). So the average real salary of Bill Clinton during his presidency – the lowest salary in history since the time of the analysis of this source – would be worth $403,100 today, without subtracting the current salary of Biden of $400,000. (But Clinton’s actual salary was probably lower than Biden’s average salary during the Biden presidency. There were several years when the President’s actual annual salary was below its current level, including most of the Clinton presidency.)
The last time the President’s real salary dropped below its current level, Congress voted to double it.
That’s from TP.
