“We’re a global team, with security team members in Romania, India, and the United States, as well as some of our smaller offices, and getting people to work together seamlessly in all areas of the same project can be difficult,” Van Horenbeeck says. “We’re not perfect, but we’re trying to deal with it by encouraging cooperative behavior, giving people the autonomy to solve certain problems,” and making sure there’s an opportunity for people to connect in person.
“It’s great that we’re a multidisciplinary team,” said Van Horenbeeck. “We have program managers, security engineers, legal analysts, researchers, and people with their communication skills. In addition, we work closely with our legal partners. [When] you bring all those skills together, you’re going to build better solutions than when you build them in silos.”
Adobe has created a “trust organization” that includes legal, security, and policy teams.
