True, false, or uncertain?

Most of the strategic developments in the sport have been aimed at increasing diversity and life and results (for better EV):

Baseball: more extra hits, no more bunting.

Football: more of a passing game, you’ll get it on the 4th.

Golf: the speed of the driver’s ball increases.

Bball: 3 point…

Tennis: big serves/groundstrokes.

Snooker: cannoning the pack to extend the breaks.

Chess: sub-optimal lines but an exploitative niche.

This is from Agustin Lebron. Perhaps most of the NBA’s improvements simply boil down to better defense and fundamentals? And matching players’ defensive assignments, or five-man rotations, to more closely match historical success data?
