IBM is adding quantum-resistant controls within the new security suite

PQC algorithms refer to cryptographic techniques designed to protect against attacks on quantum computers. With the development of quantum computers, traditional encryption algorithms such as RSA, DSA, and ECC, are vulnerable to quantum attacks by computers that can easily solve the mathematical problems these systems are based on.

In addition to allowing organizations to gain visibility and control over their cryptographic security posture, IBM Quantum Safe will also provide policy enforcement around these algorithms.

“IBM Guardium Quantum Safe allows organizations to enforce policies based on external, internal, and government regulations by pulling crypto algorithms used in code, vulnerabilities discovered in code, and network usage into a single dashboard so security analysts can monitor policy violations and track progress,” it added.
