I’d say this wasn’t a great movie, but I’m passing the word because it’s rare to have a movie devoted exclusively to both social choice and social choice theory, and it really is. (Thomas Reese said in an interview that the details about the conference were also real; if you don’t know Reese his book Inside the Vatican is probably the best book about the authorities.)
I can’t say much without spoiling the plot. Needless to say, Richard McKelvey would not move away from this conflicted feeling…
The film also takes itself seriously in a good way, which is increasingly rare these days in Hollywood.
