Instructor value added to higher education

On average, attending a standard deviation better instructor can increase the following semester’s GPA by 0.13 points, and earnings six years after entering college by 17%. Surprisingly, value-added is only slightly correlated with student evaluations. A value-added teacher retention policy will result in a 2.7% higher income for students attending Texas universities.
