IRGC Vows Unthinkable Response to Israel Tasnim. Alexander Mercouris discusses this issue at the top of his Friday show. Note that we have been skeptical of the claims of usually trusted analysts like Larry Wilkerson that Iran has been talked into not retaliating…by things like US diplomacy. After the new president Pezeshkian was recently tricked by the US into thinking there might be a willingness to mend relations and had to eat tons of crows in public to restore some level of credibility, the idea that Iran will listen to the US seems surprisingly far-fetched. . In addition, Iran was very clear that any retaliation by Israel would lead to an Iranian response. So the question seemed to be not whether Iran would strike Israel again to maintain its deterrence regime, but when and how hard.

Antidote du jour. Tracie H:

A little over a week ago, at the end of one of our long Monday work days in LA, hubby and I found three gray motherless kittens on our doorstep. We left them there for a few hours hoping that the mother cat would come, but no. Because of how clean and free of fleas they were, we’re pretty sure the neighbor left them. So we are feeding the bottles and, already overcrowded in the cat department, we will soon be trying to find them homes.

And a bonus:
